In the Next 20 Years

In the next coming 20 years, I will try my best to find the meaning of life. I will also try to build up my own life in my own ways. After 20 years, I will be at the age of 39, which I might have a lovely family and a programming company. Currently, I’m still a bit unsure about what company I would build in the future; there are too many uncertainties and other factors. It’s hard for me to imagine what I will be doing for the next 10 years because life is always full of surprises.

My most recent vision of myself is as a college student. I’m planning on majoring in either Economics or Business Management. Studying Economy can allow me to learn more about the world and how to use my money. My current goal is to just go to college for an undergraduate degree then go to a graduate school; I want to get a Master’s degree. Even though, in the 21st century a degree doesn’t guarantee a job, I still want to enrich myself first before actually stepping into the working world completely. I will probably do some internships during college to find possible careers or companies that interest me. I’m also planning on studying abroad when I’m in college because I want to live in different places and experience different cultures, both for my own benefits and personal enjoyment. I will be more enthusiastic about learning when I enjoy my learning environment.

I’m not sure what kind of career I will have in 10 or 20 years, but I think I might work in the stock market since I am doing it now. I think I’m still a bit too young to think about the future that is 20 years ahead of me. I would rather focus on the present and think about what I want to do next. I want to explore different fields when I’m young so I won’t make decisions that I will regret for a long time. A career is a long-term commitment. I want to find a career, a path that I will be able to commit with enjoyment. I think college is the perfect place for me to experiment with different things that I’m interested in; maybe I will even discover new interests.
